Garden & Grounds Maintenance was started with a simple idea: provide reliable, high-quality lawn care to homeowners who care about their outdoor spaces. Our founder began with a single route in Palo Alto, building a reputation for showing up on time and doing the work right.
Word spread quickly in Menlo Park, Atherton, and Los Altos. Referrals from happy customers drove our growth. We added crew members carefully — always prioritizing skill and trustworthiness over headcount. Every person on the team was trained to the same standard.
Responding to what our clients needed most, we expanded beyond weekly lawn maintenance into seasonal cleanups, shrub removal, mulch delivery, and garden bed care. This allowed us to become a single point of contact for everything a yard requires throughout the year.
After 26 years, nothing fundamental has changed. We're still locally owned, still personally involved in every job, and still returning calls ourselves. Our coverage now spans 14 cities across the South Bay Peninsula — but every property gets the same care we started with in 1999.
